If you are looking for a luxury vacation with incredible amenities, you should stay at The Miami Beach EDITION. From art deco vibes to luxe amenities, this is the perfect Miami retreat.
Lobby & Check in Process
.
Our check-in experience at The Miami Beach EDITION was exceptional. Upon arrival at 2:30 PM—well ahead of the standard 4:00 PM check-in time—the front desk staff warmly welcomed us and immediately acknowledged my Marriott Titanium Elite status. They graciously allowed an early check-in and, to our delight, upgraded our reservation from an Ocean View King Room to a Deluxe Ocean View One-Bedroom Suite at no additional cost. We were also offered complimentary bottled water and received a 2:00 PM late check-out.
The lobby itself is a true reflection of the EDITION brand’s refined yet relaxed luxury. The space is beautifully curated, with elegant touches ranging from lush greenery to soft, ambient lighting. Stylish and plentiful seating areas add both comfort and sophistication. Additionally, a well-appointed gift shop and a dedicated concierge desk are available to assist guests. Overall, our arrival was seamless, elevated, and set the tone for an outstanding stay.

Room Design & Condition
For this stay, I was upgraded to a Deluxe Ocean View One-Bedroom Suite with a King Bed, spanning an impressive 1,135 square feet (102 square meters). The suite exuded a sense of understated luxury with its minimalist yet refined design, marked by thoughtful details and high-end finishes throughout.
Upon entering, I was welcomed by a stylish half-bath featuring Le Labo EDITION soap and lotion, paired with a sleek, high-quality vanity. Just beyond the entrance was a well-equipped coffee station that included a Nespresso machine, two EDITION-branded boxed waters, and a thoughtful assortment of coffee accompaniments such as Nestlé Coffee Mate creamers, Sugar In The Raw packets, and Nespresso pods.
The dining area was expansive and highly functional, with a table that comfortably seated six—a perfect setup for in-room dining or entertaining. The adjacent living area featured a medium-sized sofa, an accent chair, and a chic coffee table topped with a decorative book and a fresh live orchid, adding a serene and curated touch.
The bedroom was serene and visually stunning, anchored by a king-sized bed. The bed was beautifully presented, but I found it too soft for my preference, bordering on sagging. The pillows lacked adequate support, though the duvet was exceptional, offering warmth and comfort throughout the night. On either side of the bed were nightstands and adjustable reading lights, perfect for evening relaxation. The space also included a modern desk with an accent chair, accented by minimalist decor such as a single green leaf in a vase, keeping the atmosphere calm and uncluttered.
The master bathroom was truly a highlight. It featured a freestanding soaking tub accompanied by EDITION-branded bath salts, a double vanity with ample counter space, and a standard yet stylish shower stocked with Le Labo EDITION toiletries. A walk-in closet provided generous storage, complete with shelving, hooks, and two luggage stands—a thoughtful inclusion for guests traveling with multiple bags.

Pool Area
The pool area at the Miami Beach EDITION is very nice, featuring elegant umbrellas and comfortable chaise lounges. There were beautiful design touches throughout, including lush greenery and bougainvillea, which are commonly used in EDITION properties—I noticed a similar plant-forward design during my stay at their Tampa location.
The property offers two pools. One of them is located near the bungalows and provided a relaxing atmosphere. The area also includes a decent pool bar and a nicely maintained grass space that adds to the outdoor ambiance.
However, despite these thoughtful details, I felt the overall pool experience did not reflect the level of luxury expected at a hotel with nightly rates around $900. In comparison, the pool areas at the W South Beach and the Shelborne—both of which I visited during the same trip—felt more elevated in design and presentation.
One additional highlight: the outdoor deck of the Matador Room restaurant overlooks the pool, offering a pleasant view for guests dining there.

Parking
One notable inconvenience at the Miami Beach EDITION is the lack of a dedicated check-in parking area. During my arrival, I had to temporarily leave my car at a paid parking spot nearby, which was not ideal. Introducing a designated check-in parking area would be a valuable improvement.
For overnight parking, the only on-site option is valet service, which is priced at $55 per night. Since I prefer not to valet my car, I chose to self-park at a public garage near Lincoln Road. However, this option required a 25-minute walk back to the hotel, making it far from convenient.
In my opinion, valet parking remains the most practical and efficient choice for guests staying at the EDITION.
Dining
The Miami Beach EDITION offers a refined selection of dining options, each thoughtfully curated and beautifully designed.
The Market at EDITION serves as a stylish and upscale café with a boutique, Art Deco-inspired ambiance. I had breakfast here and was impressed by both the quality of the food and the service. I ordered the Avocado Toast with chili and two poached eggs—it was excellent. The bread was perfectly crisp, and the avocado was fresh, not from a pre-made spread. As a starter, I enjoyed the Greek Yogurt Bowl topped with rhubarb compote and fresh berries. It was refreshing, healthy, and full of flavor. The service was also outstanding—our server was attentive and made us feel genuinely welcome.
Matador Room is the EDITION’s signature dinner venue. While I did not have the chance to dine there during this stay, the menu is inspired by a fusion of Caribbean, South American, and Spanish flavors. Dishes like Tuna Tartare and Spring Pea Guacamole stood out as creative and appetizing selections. The space also offers a scenic view of the pool from its outdoor terrace, enhancing the dining atmosphere.
Overall, dining at the EDITION is a strong experience. I would rate it an 8 out of 10 for both quality and presentation.

Conclusion
The Miami Beach EDITION delivers a polished and stylish stay in one of Miami's most iconic beachfront locations.
From the moment I arrived, the service stood out—especially at check-in, where my Marriott Titanium Elite status was honored with early access to my room and a complimentary upgrade to a spacious Deluxe Oceanview 1 Bedroom Suite. The suite itself was beautifully appointed, with thoughtful design elements, ample space, and luxurious Le Labo amenities, although the bedding was overly soft for my comfort.
The public spaces reflect EDITION’s signature aesthetic: understated elegance with lush greenery, clean lines, and an overall calming ambiance. The lobby and pool areas are visually appealing, with the pool deck complemented by bougainvillea and tasteful landscaping. However, for a hotel at this price point, the pool experience didn’t feel quite as elevated compared to similarly priced properties nearby.
Dining was a highlight of the stay, particularly breakfast at The Market at EDITION, where the fresh ingredients and attentive service made a lasting impression. While I didn’t get the chance to try Matador Room, its menu looked promising and adds to the hotel’s culinary appeal.
Parking remains one of the few significant inconveniences—limited self-parking options and the reliance on valet service at $55 per night may be off-putting for some travelers.
Overall, The Miami Beach EDITION offers a serene, upscale experience with a strong focus on design, comfort, and service. While there are a few areas where improvements could be made—especially with parking and poolside amenities—it remains a solid choice for those seeking a luxurious and refined beachfront getaway in Miami Beach.
