Family-Friendly Luxury: Reviewing the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry

If you're in search of a stunning property near Aventura Mall or Sunny Isles Beach, consider the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry. This property boasts exquisite Mediterranean landscapes and architecture.

Lobby & Check in Process

The lobby is stunning, albeit small for the size of this grand hotel. The front desk staff were exceptionally kind, providing us with a lovely suite.

JW Turnberry's Food Scene

I didn't try much of the food there. My only meal was breakfast at Corsair, one of the main restaurants. It was decent but not exceptional. The buffet offers a substantial variety and is quite appealing, though the primary drawback would be the lengthy lines.

A Review of Miami's Waterpark: Tidal Cove

During my stay, I visited Tidal Cove, which was covered by the $68 Destination Fee. I spent most of my time in the lazy river, which was decent, though it lacked the strong current I've experienced at other parks. I tried the Constrictor slide, the slowest in the park, and enjoyed the turns, especially since they offer tandem tubes. I considered trying the Boomerango, but it seemed too intense for both myself and my companion.

Room Design & Condition

I can't speak for the standard rooms, but the one-bedroom suite in the Orchid tower where I stayed was very well-designed. The suite featured a mini-bar stocked with beer, vodka, and a coffee maker. The dining area was impressive, comfortably seating four people. The living room was extremely cozy, although the sofa bed was a letdown for my travel companion. The JW Bed was incredibly comfortable, which made waking up quite a challenge! The bathroom was elegantly designed, complete with a standalone tub and a stunning shower.

HOWEVER, THERE IS SOME PROS AND CONS TO CONSIDER.

Pros:

- Tidal Cove Waterpark was incredibly enjoyable.

- The hotel is stunning, with beautiful landscapes throughout the property.

- The room was well-appointed and clean.

- The restaurant was delightful.

Cons:

- The breakfast was decent, but not up to the standard expected at a JW.

- The lines at the waterpark were excessively long.
